Sabah, Borneo

Sabah, Borneo holds a special place in my heart. It is unmistakably beautiful, a place of true wilderness, untouched nature and fauna to make your heart absolutely melt. The local people are incredible too, they are kind, helpful, hospitable and warm.

Sabah boasts Mount Kinabalu a steep and rewarding climb enabling you to witness the sunrise from the highest point in South East Asia. Diving Sipadan is world class where turtles and reef sharks become the norm and you immerse yourself into an amazing aquatic playground. Exploring Maliau Basin with Sticky Rice truly enables you to discover and be at one with wild Borneo. It is surely off the beaten path and is untouched as you can find in this part of the planet.

Sepilok is home to the Orangutan, Proboscis Monkey and Sun Bear Rehabilitation and Conversations and I would 100% recommend visiting these beautiful creatures. Every Ringgit counts towards protecting and preserving these wonderful animals. My heart was stolen many times during my visits and I couldn’t contribute enough.
