“Kindness, I think comes from learning hard lessons well, from falling and picking yourself up. It comes from surviving failure and loss. It implies an understanding of the human condition, forgives it’s many flaws and quirks.” Pg 52- Beautiful Lies by Lisa Unger
I will forever be amazed and inspired by the simple acts of kindness shown by many people throughout the world. Kindness is allowing our two friends ego and pride to take a rest and selflessly assist another, brightening their day through compassion, honesty and love.
This family have shown us nothing but kindness in Nepal. We met through an inquisitive eye for palmistry and astrology- some may say our stars crossed. We spent an evening drinking Masala tea, reading palms, predicting futures and sharing our pasts. They lead their lives with an understanding of peace and consideration. I will be forever grateful for their presence in my life even if it is only brief. Sometimes the most fleeting moments have the most outstanding impact upon the soul.
